My name is Eva-Maria. I'm an 18 year old author of ‘You Shut Up!’ parenting book which was written based on four years of mentoring and coaching over 500 teenagers and many adults. The book was published in late December, 2007 in New Zealand and I am now on a mission to help improve one MILLION adult-teenager relationships by the end of 2009!
I have joined this network because I hope I can add value to your members who want to understand teenagers and children better. I also have a big network of friends – youth, adults, authors, coaches and so on who are working towards a brighter future for younger generations. One of my personal and very close friends is Diane Levy who is probably New Zealand’s most known and respected authors on parenting. If you want to grab a just released copy of my free e-book ‘3 Biggest Teenage Secrets That Will Change Your Life’, simply visit www.youshutup.co.nz now.
I am here to genuinely be of value if need be and give a teenager’s perspective, and to learn more about parents in the 21st century, and what common issues arise in today’s world of parenting. I am also in the process of writing my second book, which will include HEAPS more stories written by teenagers and adults about their relationships with the other generations, so I would love to hear from you if you feel you would like to contribute.
I understand if you feel that my presence here is unnecessary. If this is truly the case, I will respect your wishes.
However, if I can, I look forward to being part of your network.
Much love, peace and respect,
Eva-Maria

Originally from Russia, my family and I moved to New Zealand when I was 6 [however we all still speak and write Russian at home]. I went to primary school in NZ, and when I was 13, I transferred to Athena Montessori College. The College’s and my parents' bringing up has most definitely given me the biggest support. During my years at Athena, I was trained as a mentor, and became known throughout the school for helping students out, all while I was studying exams!
When I was 16, I finally started to put together small stories and observations I had witnessed throughout my life, and they just happened to be issues between generations. At 17, my book called 'You Shut Up!' all came together, and got published. That was SO exciting. It was a bestseller in many bookstores around New Zealand, and is daily getting ordered in by individuals and bookstores around the world including countries such as Australia, USA, UK, Russia, China, Singapore, Bali, India, Canada, Germany, Italy, and heaps more!
At the start of 2008, I got my International Coaching Certificate. I still continue to help families, teachers, youth workers, employers and others to get the most benefit out of having teenagers in their life.
“Having a broad knowledge of people and years of experience of working, mentoring and coaching teenagers and their parents, Eva-Maria is living on the road to her dream; to bridge the gap of misunderstanding between teenagers and the older generations around the globe.” – AXAS Publishing
My absolute passion is to help get win-win outcomes for any situations that arise between adults and teenagers, no matter what the age difference, no matter where in the world they are. This inspired my mission of helping one million adult-teenager relationships around the world by the end of 2009.
In the meantime, I work as Assistant Editor, and Online Editor of NZ's leading unisex youth magazine 'Tearaway', and as a coach for starting out authors at AXAS Publishing Ltd.
Next year, I'll be at University studying Psychology!
